After Donald Trump was sworn in as the President of the United States, most students from Hyderabad are opting to go to Australia and Canada for higher education.

Hyderabad, the largest source city of students from India to the US, is seeing a sharp drop in the number of students planning to pursue masters there.

Jithin Reddy, a student of an engineering college in Hyderabad, was quoted by the Hans India as saying that at this time, most students in each class would have been preparing for GRE and IELTS, but now most students have taken other exams and are planning to head to countries like Canada and Australia.

Things have changed now as only 30 percent of the students who have attended visa interviews are getting a visa to the Land of Opportunities.  This is making the students of this city turn to Australia and Canada. Students are of the view that when they go to Australia, though the money they spend for their masters is a little on the higher side, they feel it is totally value for money.

The immigration process is also said to be simpler and so is the application process. Meanwhile, some students are said to be eyeing countries Germany, Italy New Zealand and so on.
