California: A 12-year-old Californian trainee, Ananya Vinay, won the 90th United States Scripps National Spelling Bee competitors on Thursday taking house $40, 000 money reward house. She is the 13th successive Indian-American to win the bee.

Vinay, a 6th grader in Fresno, won the competitors by spelling the word ‘marocain’, which is a French-derived word utilized to describe a gown material made from ribbed crepe.
